Webbing clothes moth

Indoors, commonly found in closets, pantries, and areas with stored fabrics or natural fibers

Larvae feed on keratin-containing animal products like wool, feathers, fur, hair, and leather; adults do not feed

Avoids light, preferring dark, undisturbed areas. Adults fly weakly and erratically. Females lay eggs on natural fabrics where larvae construct silk feeding tubes or webs. Active indoors year-round in Canada.

Pest species that causes damage to clothing, carpets, upholstery, and stored animal-fiber goods. They pose no physical health risks or bites to humans.
