Natural Habitat
Typically found inside residential buildings on walls or under furniture, specifically in warm, humid climates.
Diet & Feeding
Larvae feed on spider webs, woolen items, hair, and natural fibers.
Behavior Patterns
The larva constructs a silk case covered in sand, dust, and debris. It can pull its body inside from either end and eventually pupates within this protective shell.
Risks & Benefits
Generally harmless to humans but considered a household pest as they can damage silk or wool fabrics and create unsightly cases on walls.
