Masked Hunter (Nymph stage)

Indoor environments like homes, barns, and sheds, particularly in dark corners or dusty areas.

Carnivorous; it hunts other small arthropods including bed bugs, carpet beetles, and flies.

Nymphs secrete a sticky substance and cover themselves with dust and lint as camouflage. They are nocturnal and move with a jerky, hitching motion.

High ecological benefit as a predator of indoor pests. However, it can deliver a painful (though not medically significant) bite if handled or provoked.
