Carpet Beetle Larva

Indoors in homes, carpets, upholstered furniture, closets, and dark undisturbed areas with organic debris.

Feeds on natural animal-based fibers including wool, silk, feathers, fur, dead insects, hair, and pet dander.

Slow-moving caterpillar-like larvae covered in tiny brownish hairs. They prefer dark areas and avoid light, often hiding deep inside fabrics or along baseboards before pupating into adult beetles.

Harmless to humans as they do not bite or sting, but their shed hairs can cause allergic skin reactions or dermatitis in sensitive individuals. They are household pests that can cause minor damage to natural fiber clothing, carpets, and upholstery.
