Bee Egg

Found within the cells of a honeycomb or nesting cavity of a bee hive.

Non-feeding stage; the egg contains yolk that provides nutrients for the developing embryo.

The egg is laid upright by the queen bee and stays immobile until it hatches into a larva after approximately three days.

Benefits the ecosystem by developing into a pollinator; no direct risks to humans in egg form.
