Brown marmorated stink bug (likely)

Gardens, orchards, woodland edges, buildings, and other areas with vegetation. Adults commonly seek sheltered structures for winter.

Pierces plants and sucks sap from fruits, vegetables, ornamentals, and trees. It can damage apples, peaches, tomatoes, peppers, and soybeans.

Adults are shield-shaped, mottled brown, and strong fliers; they often cluster and emit a pungent odor when disturbed or crushed. They overwinter as adults and produce multiple generations in warm regions.

Not dangerous to people, though its defensive odor is unpleasant and it may occasionally cause skin irritation. It is a significant agricultural and household nuisance, with little recognized ecological benefit in regions where invasive.
