Booklouse

Damp, warm areas with high humidity, often found in books, paper, stored grains, and under bark.

Feeds mainly on microscopic mold, fungi, algae, and starchy organic matter like book glue or lichen.

Gregarious insects that thrive in high humidity; they move in jerky, rapid bursts and do not fly.

Harmless to humans and pets, but can be a nuisance pest in homes and cause minor damage to stored paper or food products.
