Behavior Patterns
Typically fast-moving beetles with very short wing covers that leave much of the abdomen exposed. Many species raise the abdomen when disturbed.

Generally harmless and beneficial predators of garden pests. Avoid handling unidentified beetles, as a few rove beetle species can irritate skin.
