Carpet beetle larva (likely)

Indoors, especially carpets, upholstery, closets, stored fabrics, and lint- or dust-filled areas.

Larvae consume keratin-rich materials such as wool, fur, feathers, silk, hair, and dead insects; adults mainly feed on pollen and nectar.

Larvae are slow-moving, often hairy, and hide in dark undisturbed places; they may shed bristly skins. Adults are small, oval beetles that may wander toward windows and light.

Larvae can damage natural-fiber textiles and occasionally cause itchy, dermatitis-like reactions from their hairs. They recycle animal remains outdoors, while adults pollinate flowers.
