Household Casebearer

Indoor environments, particularly in warm, humid areas where they attach cases to walls, ceilings, and under furniture.

Feeds on spider webs, hair, wool, feathers, dust, and other organic debris found in homes.

The larva lives inside a flattened, silk case that it carries around as it moves. It pupates inside the case and eventually emerges as a small moth.

Risks include minor damage to fabrics, woolens, and carpets. They do not bite or transmit diseases, and their presence is generally just a household nuisance.
