Masked Hunter

Found indoors in homes, barns, and outbuildings, as well as outdoors under logs, bark, and in debris.

Predatory insect that feeds on other arthropods, including bed bugs, carpet beetles, spiders, and woodlice.

Nymphs cover themselves in dust, lint, and debris for camouflage (hence the name 'masked'). They are nocturnal hunters and generally solitary.

Benefits include acting as a natural pest controller against household pests like bed bugs. They rarely bite humans, but if provoked, their bite can be painful.
