Multicolored Asian Lady Beetle (Pupa stage)

Found in gardens, agricultural fields, and forests on plants with aphid populations.

In the pupal stage, it does not eat. As larvae and adults, they primarily consume aphids, scale insects, and mites.

The pupal stage is a stationary period of metamorphosis lasting 3 to 12 days. The pupa attaches itself to a leaf or stem using the shed remains of its last larval skin.

Highly beneficial as a natural pest control for garden crops. However, they can become a nuisance in autumn when adults swarm buildings to overwinter, and they may nip humans if handled.
