Primarily indoor environments in close proximity to humans, especially in warm, humid areas like kitchens and bathrooms.

Omnivorous scavenger that eats almost anything including starch, grease, sweets, meat products, and household items like soap or glue.

Mainly nocturnal; they are fast runners and prolific breeders. They rarely fly despite having wings and rely on human transport to spread.

Significant domestic pest. Known to carry pathogens, spread bacteria (like E. coli and Salmonella), and produce allergens that can trigger asthma and allergic reactions in humans.
