Behavior Patterns

Nocturnal and highly secretive, hiding in dark, narrow crevices during the day and emerging at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis through five nymphal stages.

Risks & Benefits

Risks include painful, itchy bites, secondary skin infections from scratching, psychological distress, and severe infestations that are difficult to eradicate. They provide no known benefits to humans.
