Jumping Spider

Found globally in diverse environments including tropical forests, temperate forests, grasslands, and suburban gardens. Common on vertical surfaces like walls and fences.

Carnivorous; primarily hunts small insects and other spiders. They are active hunters that stalk prey rather than building webs for capture.

Diurnal hunters known for their exceptional vision and ability to jump up to 50 times their body length. They use silk as a safety line while jumping but do not spin webs for trapping food.

Beneficial to ecosystems as natural pest controllers. They are generally harmless to humans, rarely bite, and their venom is not medically significant.
