Indistinct small red arthropod; possibly a clover mite

Common on sunlit walls, windowsills, foundations, lawns, and vegetation, especially during cool spring or autumn weather.

Feeds mainly by piercing and sucking plant fluids from grasses, clover, weeds, and other vegetation; it does not bite people or feed on blood.

Slow-moving, often appearing indoors near windows after migrating from vegetation. It reproduces rapidly under favorable conditions and may leave reddish smears when crushed.

Harmless to humans, pets, and structures, though large numbers can be a nuisance and may discolor surfaces. Usually causes little noticeable plant damage.
