Long-jawed orb-weaver (likely)

Vegetation near streams, ponds, wetlands, and other humid areas; occasionally wanders indoors. It typically builds an orb web among grasses or shrubs.

Predatory; captures flies, mosquitoes, small moths, and other flying insects in its web, then injects digestive venom.

Most active at night or twilight, often resting stretched along stems or surfaces; females attach egg sacs to vegetation. The elongated body and long legs are characteristic.

Not considered medically significant to humans and generally avoids contact. It benefits ecosystems by consuming nuisance and pest insects.
