Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (First Instar Nymph)

Agricultural fields, orchards, gardens, residential structures, and forested areas.

Feeds on plant juices from fruits, vegetables, foliage, and ornamental plants using piercing-sucking mouthparts.

After hatching from egg clusters, first-instar nymphs remain clustered near the egg mass before dispersing to feed on nearby host plants. They progress through five nymphal stages before reaching adulthood.

They do not bite, sting, or transmit diseases to humans or pets. However, they are agricultural pests that cause feeding damage to crops and can become nuisance indoor pests when seeking shelter during cooler months.
