Long-bodied cellar spider (daddy longlegs spider)

Common indoors in quiet, dim areas such as corners, basements, garages, and ceilings; also occurs in sheltered outdoor sites worldwide.

A predator of flies, mosquitoes, moths, other spiders, and small arthropods, captured in irregular, tangled webs.

Builds loose cobwebs and often vibrates rapidly when disturbed, becoming difficult to see. Females carry egg clusters in their chelicerae and may produce several broods.

Harmless to people and not medically significant. It benefits homes by consuming nuisance insects and occasionally other spiders.
