Green Stink Bug

Fields, orchards, gardens, crop fields, and deciduous forests on leaves and stems of trees and plants.

Herbivorous; uses piercing-sucking mouthparts to feed on plant juices from fruits, seeds, leaves, and crop stems.

Emits a foul-smelling chemical liquid from scent glands when threatened. Adults seek sheltered areas, including human structures, to overwinter.

Harmless to humans as they do not bite or sting. However, they can be agricultural and garden pests, causing cosmetic and physical damage to crops, vegetables, and ornamental foliage.
