Green lynx spider

Sunny vegetation, gardens, shrubs, grasslands, and woodland edges, mainly in warm regions of the Americas.

A hunting predator that captures insects and other arthropods, including moths, flies, bees, and wasps; it does not build a prey-catching web.

Active by day, it ambushes prey among foliage and may jump or run rapidly. Females guard a silk egg sac and spiderlings, sometimes showing defensive behavior.

Generally harmless to people, though a bite can cause localized pain and swelling if handled. It benefits gardens by controlling insect pests; its bite is not considered medically significant.
