Bed Bug

Human dwellings, specifically in cracks and crevices near sleeping areas such as mattresses, bed frames, and baseboards.

Obligate hematophages, meaning they feed exclusively on the blood of warm-blooded animals, primarily humans.

Mainly nocturnal; they emerge at night to feed. They undergo incomplete metamorphosis with five nymphal stages, each requiring a blood meal to molt.

They do not known to transmit diseases, but their bites can cause allergic reactions, severe itching, and psychological distress. They are considered a significant urban pest.
