A predator that captures flies, caterpillars, beetles, and other small insects with its piercing-sucking mouthparts.

Waits on vegetation for prey and uses sticky secretions on its legs to help catch it; adults are often orange and black.

Useful natural pest control. It can deliver a painful bite if handled, but is not considered medically dangerous.
