Bed bug

Homes and other indoor spaces, hiding in mattress seams, furniture, and cracks near sleeping areas.

Feeds on blood, mainly from humans, usually at night.

Wingless, flattened insects that hide during the day; females lay eggs in sheltered crevices, and nymphs need blood meals to molt.

Bites can cause itchy skin reactions and infestations are difficult to eliminate; bed bugs are not known to transmit disease.
