Green Lacewing

Found in agricultural fields, forests, gardens, and meadows, often near vegetation.

Larvae are voracious predators of aphids, mites, and other small soft-bodied insects. Adults typically feed on nectar, pollen, and honeydew.

Adults are nocturnal and attracted to lights. They are weak fliers with a fluttering flight pattern. Females lay eggs on slender stalks on leaves to protect them from predators.

Extremely beneficial to gardens and agriculture as natural pest controllers, preying on aphids and destructive garden pests. They pose no risk to humans as they do not bite or sting.
