Case-bearing Clothes Moth (Larva)

Inhabits homes, museums, and storage facilities, typically found in dark, undisturbed areas like closets or under furniture.

Larvae feed on keratin-containing animal products, including wool, silk, fur, feathers, and carpets.

The larva constructs a protective silken case incorporating fibers from its food source, which it carries around as it feeds. It undergoes a complete metamorphosis (egg, larva, pupa, adult).

They are a household pest that can cause significant damage to clothing, upholstery, and rugs. They do not pose health risks to humans but can be economically destructive.
