Honeydew from aphids and mealybugs; indoors, they prefer sweet substances like sugar, cakes, and syrups, but also eat grease and dead insects.
Behavior Patterns
They are highly mobile, frequently moving their nests between temporary sites. They run rapidly and erratically when disturbed, making them difficult to track.
Risks & Benefits
They do not sting and their bite is generally not painful; however, they are a significant nuisance pest in homes and can contaminate food sources.
