Household Casebearer

Indoor environments, particularly in humid climates, often found on walls or around cobwebs.

Dead insects, spider webs, and natural fibers such as wool, hair, and silk.

The larva constructs a protective silk case covered in sand, dust, and debris. It can poke its head out from either end of the case to move and feed.

Generally harmless to humans but can be a pest by feeding on natural fiber clothing, upholstery, or rugs.
